Knit Happens is located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria on N Washington Street, between King and Cameron Streets. We’re just a short walk from the Metro or to the water.  We’re also easily reachable by a ride on the Old Town Trolley – a free shuttle service from the King Street Metro station to the water.

We are open 6 days a week, Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday: 10:30-7
Wednesday: 10:30-9
Thursday: 10:30-7
Friday: 10:30-7
Saturday: 10:30-7
Sunday: 12-5

Are you Insatiable?

Well, an insatiable knitter or crocheter, that is… If you are, our Insatiable Knitter card is a must to have. Every time you come in the store and spend $15 or more on non-sale merchandise, you get a ball of yarn marked off of your card.  Once all are marked off, hang onto your card because with it, you can save 20% off of your next BIG purchase!
